Capsules taken after consuming alcohol to neutralize alcohol's negative effects.
Cheers® Restore (Granted Patent: US 9,603,830 B2) is designed to mitigate the negative effects of alcohol. It works by reducing GABAa rebound, replacing lost vitamins, and providing your liver with what it needs to break down alcohol and its toxic by-products.
It’s all thanks to our hero ingredient, DHM, which is a flavonoid extracted from a Japanese raisin tree that was found to have anti-alcohol properties in 2012 through a published study in the Journal of Neuroscience. Shortly after, we conducted a study testing DHM’s efficacy in humans for our granted patent. We found that users of Cheers felt an average of 50%+ better the next day across 8 typical symptoms.
Because DHM is proven to be essential in reducing alcohol’s negative effects, we include the most DHM per serving compared to any other product on the market–1200mg to be exact.
To metabolize alcohol, your body must first convert alcohol into acetaldehyde (which is 20x more toxic than alcohol) before being able to finally clear it from your system. Cheers Restore reduces the amount and time you’re exposed to acetaldehyde following alcohol consumption.
Reduces GABAa rebound, increases alcohol and acetaldehyde metabolism, & promotes liver health.
One of the oldest known liver supplements. Milk Thistle is often used clinically to aid health of the liver.
Rich in antioxidants, Prickly Pear has been shown to have an effect on reducing next-day symptoms through inhibiting inflammation
Glutathione helps to break down acetaldehyde, the toxic by-product of alcohol metabolism. NAC significantly boosts glutathione levels.
Alcohol consumption can deplete vitamin level via decreased uptake. We help replenish them.
Alcohol is a diuretic and thus is dehydrating. Electrolytes can help to maintain hydration after alcohol consumption.
DHM, one of our main ingredients, binds to the same brain receptor alcohol binds to (i.e.: the GABAa). Long story short, a major cause (if not the biggest cause) of why a person feels so poorly is GABAa rebound. Because alcohol is a depressant, when alcohol leaves the system, the opposite effect is excitation--but not a nice kind, rather anxiety, shakiness, and a more squirrel-like inability to focus on any one thing. By binding to the GABAa receptor, DHM reduces GABAa rebound and thereby reduces the next-day effect of "hangxiety" and feeling panicky.
Flushing is caused by acetaldehyde not being cleared from the bloodstream due to genetic reasons that affect ALDH enzymes. Some of our ingredients, such as DHM, have been shown in scientific literature to speed up the rate at which acetaldehyde gets cleared from the bloodstream.
Rather than simply masking the pain that alcohol causes through pain relievers, Cheers is focused on mitigating the negative effects that cause the pain. Dihydromyricetin, DHM, one of our main ingredients, binds to the same brain receptor alcohol binds to (i.e.: the GABAa receptor). Long story short, a major cause (if not the biggest cause) of why a person feels so poorly is GABAa rebound. By binding to the GABAa receptor, DHM reduces this rebound and thereby reduces the next-day negative effects.
