OUR STORY

Our story begins in 2014 when our CEO and founder, Brooks Powell, learned about a natural plant extract called DHM while researching for a neuroscience class at Princeton.

At the time, dihydromyricetin (DHM) was newly discovered to have anti-alcohol properties through an article published in The Journal of Neuroscience. Researchers in this groundbreaking study found that when given DHM, rats showed significantly reduced signs of negative effects. The DHM affected their GABAa receptors, the same brain receptors that alcohol binds to. Brooks saw this study as an opportunity to test DHM's efficacy on humans and worked with experts to conduct a study. Participants in that study felt an average of 50% better the next day after taking our formula, so he assembled a team to create our first product, an after-alcohol aid (now known as Cheers Restore).

After we secured a granted patent on our formula, Brooks appeared on Shark Tank, and we've since become the leading alcohol-related health brand, selling over 18 million doses to date across our products.

  • Dihydromyrecitin (DHM) is an extract (like caffeine is to coffee) derived from natural sources such as the Japanese raisin tree.

Due to the complexities of biology and genetic differences, Cheers may not work for everyone. Therefore, we offer every customer a full refund on their first order up to 1 unit of Cheers Restore, Hydrate, Protect, Relief, and Multi within 30 days of purchase if they were dissatisfied after using a Cheers product or have a complaint. Please note: No claim is being made about our products, but rather a warranty that you can get your money back if you are dissatisfied with one or more of the products you ordered, as long as you let us know via email prior to the end of the 30 day refund window. Refunds will not be given to repeat or recurring customers. If you receive damaged product(s), email us at hello@cheershealth.com within 30 days and we will replace damaged items. When buying a unit, only the price of the unit(s) will be refunded, no shipping or additional units will be refunded. Due to the ingestible nature of our product, and our desire to decrease risk of tampering for our customers, we do not accept returns (please see our FAQ for a full explanation).
